DEM Party’a statement highlighted the “continuing mutual will” to advance the peace process.
A delegation from the pro-Kurdish DEM Party, known as the Imralı Delegation, held a critical meeting with President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan yesterday at the Beştepe Presidential Palace in Ankara.
The DEM Party was represented by senior MPs Pervin Buldan and Mithat Sancar.
On the government side, Chief of the National Intelligence Organization (MIT) İbrahim Kalın and AKP Deputy Chair Efkan Ala joined President Erdoğan at the meeting, highlighting the high-level nature of the discussions.
Following the meeting, the DEM Party issued a brief statement emphasizing the importance of maintaining dialogue. The statement highlighted the “continuing mutual will” to advance the peace process.

“DEM Party Imralı Delegation members Pervin Buldan and Mithat Sancar met with President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan today at Beştepe. Our delegation shared their views and proposals regarding the new phase the process has entered and the necessary steps to be taken. During the meeting, it was underlined that the mutual will to advance the process remains intact.”
